I collect your name and email address when you sign up to the C-Spot mailing list. I use it to send you emails. I don't sell it, share it with anyone who doesn't need it to send those emails, or do anything dodgy with it.

What data I collect

When you sign up to the C-Spot mailing list, I collect:

  • Your first name

  • Your email address

Why I collect it and the legal basis

I collect your data to send you the C-Spot email newsletter - writing, ideas, and occasional offers related to copywriting, messaging, and creative business.

The legal basis for processing your data is consent - you gave it when you signed up. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see below).

How long I keep your data

I keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed to the mailing list. If you unsubscribe, your data is deleted from my mailing list. You can also request full deletion at any time by emailing words@becspearson.com.

Who else has access to your data

I use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to manage my mailing list and send emails. Kit stores your data on servers in the United States. Kit participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
